Fiaz Fareed lives in Raleigh North Carolina, works in the medical profession as a nuclear medicine technologist, for more than three decades. He has worked in most of the area hospitals and overseas in Saudi Arabia at different times.
Mr. Fareed is passionate about providing relief to the poor and the needy, wherever it might be. His motivation comes from the prophet peace be upon him, saying the most beloved people to Allah are those who are beneficial to others and the beloved deed to Allah is to is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt or to feed his hunger.
“My life begins after I leave work in the medical field, which is my livelihood. My real work begins by serving people at large, Be it as a school, crossing guard, or a prison counselor, or simply to greet people by opening the door at the mosque.”
Fiaz Fareed‘s passion to provide relief to the distress and the oppressed landed him in the Rohingya camp in Bangladesh. He works closely with OBAT Helpers to bring sustainability to the Rohingya Refugees in terms of education and medical needs. Having gained some experience, then he came to know about the refugees in Cameroon in Africa, and also in Gambia Sinegal and Guinea-Bissau in west Africa. In order to learn firsthand, he made a trip to all of these places in late 2023.
Fiaz does not feel unique in this work, except he loves to have other partners, and each and every one of the concerned people can help through Sanjali Bojang Foundation and Human Concern USA.
He has given a unique term for this work, calling it UMMAHNITARIAN work to help the Ummah wherever it may be.
